Molar Mass

(Lecture id-1008)

TOPICS & OBJECTIVES

1010 - Atomic Mass
1010 - Explain how an AMU is defined.
1020 - Given the natural abundance and mass of isotopes of an element, calculate the average atomic mass.
1030 - Determine the atomic mass and molar mass of an atom of any element from a periodic table.
1040 - Convert between a count of single atoms and mass in AMUs, using atomic mass.
1050 - Convert begtween a count of mols of atoms and mass in grams, using molar mass.

1020 - the Mole
1010 - Show Avogadro's number is the relationship between an AMU (in grams) and a gram.
    1020 - Give Avogadro's number with 4 significant figures.
1030 - Use Avogadro's number to convert between a count of particles as singles and in mols.
1040 - Using atomic mass, molar mass, and Avogadro's number convert between quantities in grams, AMUs, singles, or mols.
