1010 - Aliphatic
    1010 - Define hydrocarbon, and recognize structural features and properties of alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes.
    1020 - Identify hydrocarbon molecules as alkanes, alkenes, or alkynes, and name them.
    1030 - Define aromatic compound, and recognize the structural feature such compounds share.
    1040 - Name simple aromatic hydrocarbons.
    1050 - Name a halogenated hydrocarbon given its formula, and write the formula for such a compound given its name.
 
1020 - Functional Groups
    1060 - Classify an organic compound according to its functional group(s), and explain why the concept of a functional group is useful in the study of organic chemistry.
    1070 - Recognize and write the formulas of simple alkyl groups.
    1080 - Recognize the general structure and properties for an alcohol, a phenol, and an ether.
    1090 - Name simple alcohols, phenols, and ethers.
